Wierd how that boot sector computer virus was a protest highlighting the Tiananemen Square events. Things are so much more cynical these days.

I read the link - and am astonished to find that the most important fact about the Tiananmen massacre is that Ronald Reagan had been the President of the USA not long before.

I mean: WTF???

I was living in Hong Kong when it happened, and I'm still sorting out the meaning of the event, then and later, but I am absolutely certain that it's not primarily a tribute to Our Great (Former) Leader.

WTF?

This is funny, especially with some expressed concerns on ObWi about Tibet:

Audience member: “Can you give us an example of a leader we should look up to as a positive influence?”

Dalai Lama (after thinking for a few seconds): “President Bush. I met him personally and liked him very much. He was honest and straightforward, and that is very important. I may not have agreed with all his policies, but I thought he was very honest and a very good leader.”

The answer was supposed to be Obama. That Dalai Lama is really the stupid!
