So far we have:
John:
“Rove versus Michael Moore. (Would have to be a mud wrestling duel, done while wearing speedos) That should create interestingly disgusting pictures in anybody's mind.”
OCSteve:
Bush and Ahmadinejad – tactical nukes at 50 yards.
George Galloway and Norm Coleman – bare hands I think.
Ann Coulter and Elizabeth Edwards – you mentioned mud wrestling…

Turbulence, since they do the word dueling all the time, enlighten us on weapons and venue.
Agreed, would be interesting.

Hmmm...how about marbles and slingshot for one and a large dead fish for the other? As for venue, I think I'll go with the park near my house: I want to watch them without too much inconvenience for my schedule.

Hang on there. I want a piece of Jes (no pun intended). I’m thinking “quarters” with tequila…
On second thought – I better team up with Dave. It may take both of us. I’ll start with the tequila, Dave wraps up with the slingshot (or dead fish as he prefers).
Hilzoy vs. the staff of The Corner. Not fair I know. Maybe NRO brings in a ringer from Red State…

Thullen vs. anyone - weapons: rapier wit.

I'll duel OCSteve any time: you bring the tequila, I'll bring a keg of the best locally-brewed real ale.
I win. ;-)
I want to see Anthony Stewart Head and John Barrowman, with baby oil. Head can keep his glasses on and Barrowman can keep his cap.

Hah. That's all you got? ;)
I have to admit to not having much experience with English Ale. OTOH, I'm not an American "beer pussy" either as I got around and still get the best imports I can afford. We ain’t talkin’ Coors Light here.
I’ll be packin’ 100% agave.
Bring it...
;)

Wait a minute, not too long ago you were talking about Corona. Contradiction.
And the Thullen duel would be unfair. He could have 10 against him and he would win without breaking a sweat.
And I'll tell you right now, there's no way I go against Jes. I know when I am outmatched.
Actually, what would probably be interesting would be hilzoy against Andrew Sullivan on healthcare. Words only.
Mutual respect involved so there would be civility up to a point.
I have been trying to think of more, but I was without my darvocet most of the day, but its finally starting to kick in. I'll check back later when I come up with something witty and whatever.

John,
I hope the surgery went well. Feel better old man.

The darvocet is to keep me going until the surgery, which is Nov 1.

Oh. Right. That makes sense. Please forgive my presumption then. And feel better anyway.

Thanks for the thought.
Tmorrow I'll come up with more good duels.

The weapons that I have been wielding lately are a caulking gun and electric screwdriver. I can't say that I am a hotshot with either one.

Jes, I doubt you can get Dixie Blackened Voodoo Lager -- it's no longer produced by Dixie Brewery, but under contract by small breweries in the US, and I'm sure if any import to the UK -- but if you can, I think you might like it. It's by far my favorite beer.
